Kansas Radio/Television Directory (Free to Members)
   Hard Copy is $21 plus your local sales tax.  Information in the directory also is available electronically in two Excel files; cost is $30 for electronic version.  Published in July of each year.
   The Kansas Radio/Television Directory lists all broadcast stations licensed to or located in Kansas and includes addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and Web sites, general manager, other management personnel, frequency or channel, and format. The Directory also lists KAB Associate, Professional and Student Members; and frequently used telephone numbers for selected state agencies, the FCC, National Association of Broadcasters, and other related trade associations.

KAB Transmitter (Free to Members)
    Annual subscription, $25 plus your local sales tax
The Transmitter is the KAB's newsletter and is distributed monthly by e-mail or format requested.   It gives a composite of industry news of interest to broadcasters, news of Kansas stations and people, and KAB activities.

Mailing Labels
   $15 per set, plus your local sales tax
The KAB will provide computer-generated labels for all Kansas stations, addressed to either general managers or news directors.   KAB will provide mailing labels free of charge for distribution of public service announcements (PSAs).  Send your PSA script to KAB for clearance to receive a free set of labels.

  • Radio/Television Roster                                                                                       A radio/television roster is printed, which lists call letters, general manager, news director, address, telephone number for each station.


  • KAB History
    The KAB History has annual highlights from 1951 to 2005. It includes for each year, KAB officers and directors, individual award winners, and convention sites.

  • Kansas Broadcasters Community Service Survey                                                        KAB, in cooperation with National Association of Broadcasters, conducts a biennial survey of Kansas broadcasters to determine the extent of their service to their communities.  The survey results document public service time and fundraising for charitable causes and disaster relief.   Kansas broadcasters reported $134 million in 2003 in public service time and fundraising.
    • Getting Your Message on the Air                                                                                        KAB, in cooperation with the National Association of Broadcasters is making this  guide available free of charge to community organizations that have a message they want to get on the air.

    • How To Write A Public Service Announcement                                                           Broadcast creative guru - Dan O'Day - has provided KAB a guide on how to write a public service announcement  that is worth airing, that is worth hearing, and that is worth writing.
